We are an award-winning charity based in Accrington, Lancashire, responding immediately to the needs of the people in our community. Whoever you are, whatever problems you’re dealing with, whatever your race, religion, gender, sexuality, we are here to help for as long as it takes.
Established in 1998, Maundy Relief offers a range of services including food, accommodation, mental and physical health services and benefit advice. Our intention is to bring about sustainable change to those experiencing social exclusion, financial hardship and ill health, and also to support those individuals who lead chaotic and chronically unstable lives, for whom radical change in lifestyle is not currently possible. Our approach is informal and we call the people using our services our guests, and aim to treat them as such.
We know that the people who turn to us are best placed to define their own needs and our doors are open to all without the need to meet criteria or go through lengthy referral processes. All our services work closely together to achieve the best possible outcomes and we ensure that all our guests can access all the support they need in one place, whether it’s a one off food parcel or a longer journey involving our housing, counselling, health and advice services.
We support those in the borough of Hyndburn, extending reach further into East Lancashire, where capacity and/or funding allows.
